Project Summary:

Farsight was tasked with developing multi-disciplinary information support services in the areas of: Research & Monitoring through Baseline, Endline, Midline surveys, FDG’s and KII’s; Advocacy and Outreach Campaigns; Media Monitoring & Analytics; Capacity Building & Production of novelty Items. The engagement activities included:

  • Awareness programmes and training workshops in Mogadishu and the regions.
  • Coordination and set up of stakeholder/partners for engagement, including; Regional/Federal Administrations, media, community leaders, religious leaders and opinion leaders
  • Media Relations and Liaison
  • Counter terrorism/radicalization
  • Community policing and Traditional Dispute Resolution

Our team took a hands-on approach, which brought a significant level of credibility, enabling us to deliver world-class research & capacity building to receptive networks and stakeholders in the region. Key to our work was the facilitation of behavioural change communications that were developed collaboratively and intelligently through rolling field research, allowing innovative outreach and engagement. We then leveraged our partner networks and contacts to provide additional support and advocacy of project initiatives, enhancing Somali diplomacy and media representation globally.

Outcome:

Farsight Africa’s professional expertise, local knowledge and strategic leverage delivered cohesive and effective results at all levels. This project did not just fulfil the client brief, but also enhanced the Farsight reputation with organizations and stakeholders in Somalia.
